RankGrid is a desktop application developed by Miron Briley. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what stays on your machine.
All scan data, rank results, client projects, keywords, and scan history are stored locally on your computer in ~/Library/Application Support/RankGrid/. This data never leaves your machine and is never transmitted to our servers.
When you activate or validate your license key, RankGrid sends your license key and a machine identifier to the Lemon Squeezy License API (api.lemonsqueezy.com). This is the only outbound request RankGrid makes to our infrastructure. No scan data is included in this request.
RankGrid performs rank scans by checking Google Maps directly from your machine. All scan requests originate from your computer. We do not proxy, log, or have access to your scan requests or results.
If you use the in-app AI analysis feature, scan reports are sent directly from your machine to the Anthropic API using your own Claude API key. We do not store, log, or have access to your Claude API key or the content of AI requests.
RankGrid does not include any analytics, crash reporting, telemetry, or tracking of any kind. We do not know how often you use the app, what you scan, or who your clients are.
When you purchase RankGrid, your payment and purchase information is handled by Lemon Squeezy. We receive only what is necessary to fulfill your order (name, email, license key). Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy applies to the checkout process.
RankGrid checks for updates via GitHub Releases. This request includes only your app version and OS. No personal data is transmitted.
